FAQ

Question...I paid for my order with PayPal, but my order was shipped to my billing address and not the shipping address i have on file with Paypal?

Answer...Yes, that's correct. We are not PayPal. We accept Paypal as a form of payment, like Mastercard or Visa. We do not have a shipping address for you on file unless you enter it into our checkout form. For all orders, please enter the correct shipping information into our online checkout and check your receipt. Please contact us as soon as possible should you notice any errors.

Question...I ordered a 44 inch wind chime, and it came in a box that was only 35 inches. Did you send me the wrong size?

Answer... No, we did not. The top cap, and wind sail fold up neatly into a smaller size box then the chime would if it was hanging up. The overall length of the chime (when hanging up) is usually expressed in inches measured from the top of the ring hook to the bottom of the sail. This is true for every chimes we have.

Question...I ordered a 50 inch wind chime, and the longest tube is only 36 inches? Did you send me the wrong size?

Answer... No, we did not. The length and thickness of the tubes allow the chime to be tuned to a musical note. The overall length of the chime (when hanging up) is usually expressed in inches measured from the top of the ring hook to the bottom of the sail. This is true for every chimes we have and we show this overall size.

Question...How fast can I order and receive an engraved item?

Answer... Most of the time your chime will take less than 5 business days for engraving. During high seasons, April, May, June, October, November, and December, orders may be delayed. Please plan accordingly.

Question… The Corinthian Bells and Arabesque chimes have similar sizes and tunings. What’s the difference?

Answer…Both of theses chimes are made by the same manufacturer. Therefore, the sizes, number of tubes, colors and keys of each size are the same. The main differences are stylistic: the top crown/cap and the bottom wind sail are different. All other components are the same: string, tubes and striker. The price varies slightly, with the Arabesque being the most expensive because of the stylized crown, silver inlay and sail. Most importantly, the resonance and depth of sound is the same within each equal-sized chime.

Question… I’m looking for a deep/bass chime. How does that relate to the keys/scales of each chime? Is a chime tuned to the scale of A deeper than a chime tuned to C?

Answer…The length and diameter of the tubes on each chime define the deepness of the sound, rather than a particular key or scale. An example is these three Corinthian Bells chimes: the 27-inch, the 44-inch and the 74-inch. Even though all three are hand-tuned to the key of C, they vary greatly in sound. In general the smaller the chime, the higher in pitch/tone the chime will be. (For music folks, it’s basically different octaves of the same chord.) The deepest chime is the 65-inch model (the 836) in the Corinthian Bells chimes.

Be sure to listen to the sound samples!

Question… I love my chime! But the string broke. What do I do?

Question… I’m considering giving a chime as a gift to a friend, but I’m not sure if they will enjoy a chime, or even have a place for it. What do you suggest?

Answer…Yes, if you see a chime on our site that looks similar, we can figure it out. Just call us at 972-754-1314. We have all the manufacturer’s UPC codes and can easily match that to the chime on our website.

Question… Will I need to assemble the chime?

Answer…No. All wind chimes are fully assembled and ready to hang.

Question… I’m overwhelmed with all the choices! How do I ever choose?

Answer…We encourage customers to think about two things: (1) how frequently do you want to hear the chime? (2) how much wind do you get? The larger chimes are heavier and do not ring as frequently, especially if you live in a spot that does not get many breezes/wind. It definitely takes more wind to move the chimes that are heavier than 10 lbs.

Question...I left a note for you on the checkout page in the box labeled "Company Name" and you never answered?

etc. write to us at info@amazinggracewindchimes.com or feel free to call us at

Answer... No, we do not offer post-order price matching when an item's price drops after you buy it. Our prices regularly change, and the price you paid when your order shipped was the lowest price we were able to offer at the time. We consistently offer competitive prices on everything we carry because we know low prices are very important to our customers.

Hint: we have sales periods several times a year. Otherwise we have monthly specials on selected wind chimes.

Question...I ordered a wind chime, and changed my mind after it was shipped, can I refuse delivery and receive a refund?

Answer... No, once an order ships from our warehouse, the item is yours. Exceptions include returning an order under our 30 day money back return policy. We take returns on everything except engraved personalized, or special orders.

Question...I ordered a wind chime, and need to change my shipping to address but I already received my shipping notice.

Answer...Your order has shipped and we cannot alter the ship to address while in transit due to the risk of loss. It has been our experience that changing the ship to address while in transit will almost always cause the carrier to lose your order and you will pay additional moneys in the form of change of address fees to the carrier.
